NLDCS Party and AGM

IMG_6168Join us for our next fantastic fun filled party

Date: Saturday 8th February 2020
Time: 2.30 – 5.00 (AGM 3-4)
Venue: Martin Primary School, Plane Tree Walk, East Finchley, London N2 9JP

Once again we’re holding our AGM during the party to enable as many members as possible to find out more about NLDCS, share ideas and even join the committee while your children are being entertained.

We’ve booked the ever-popular multi-sports entertainer suitable for all ages and afterwards everyone will tuck into a tasty party tea.

As usual, to keep our costs down, we’re asking you to bring some sharing food to eat or drink – preferably finger food that doesn’t need heating up and can be eaten without cutlery. Please mark what it is, and whether it contains nuts/meat or is suitable for vegetarians.

Please book in advance and let us know how many people are coming, and what you’ll be bringing.

To book your places, contact Esther Conway by 1st February on northlondon@ndcsgroup.org.uk. Please do let us know if you require an interpreter at the AGM.

Snow White at Chickenshed

Date: Saturday 7th December 2019
Time: 3-5pm (including interval)
Venue: Chickenshed Theatre, Chase Side, Southgate N14 4PE
Age: strictly 5+
NLDCS Member Cost: Deaf children & siblings free, other family members £13 per ticket

In this year’s festive show at the Chickenshed, a new musical version of a familiar tale is given a new twist. Set in a colourful 1960s world where traditional roles are changing fast, what better place for a modern Snow White to ‘find’ herself – in all senses of the word? Over the years NLDCS members have been part of the Chickenshed production and this year we’ll see Olive acting in this performance.

A captioned, BSL-integrated performance is taking place on Saturday 7th December, for ages 5+, and Chickenshed is kindly offering our members subsidised tickets. NLDCS will provide free tickets for deaf children and their siblings, so you only have to pay for accompanying adults.

Tickets always go quickly and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Please note they should be reserved for immediate family only, to give as many deaf people as possible the chance to see this amazing show from the allocated seating.

Book your seats by 6th November at the latest by:

1. Make a bank transfer to:
NatWest Bank
Account Number: 33864799
Sort code: 60-06-26
Reference: Chickenshed

2. Please complete this booking form and email it to zibiah@gmail.com

Seats will not be confirmed until the payment is confirmed and form is received.
Refunds will not be given unless your tickets can be re-allocated to another family.
No late bookings will be accepted.

Date: Sunday 13th October
Time: 2.30-5.30pm
Venue: Martin Primary School, Plane Tree Walk, East Finchley N2 9JP

Afterwards we’re laying on our usual tasty spread with plenty of food. To keep our costs down, we’re asking everyone to please bring something to eat or drink for this tea buffet – preferably finger food that can be eaten without forks or spoons. Please label anything home made what it is and whether it contains nuts/meat or is suitable for vegetarians.

This event is suitable for all ages and open to all families of deaf children. If you are not a member of the NLDCS please ask for our membership details. It costs £5 each year to join and we use this money to help fund events.

If you are coming to the party, please book in advance and let us know how many people are coming, and what you’ll be bringing – contact Esther Conway at esther@conwayfamily.co.uk by Monday 7th October.
