Location: Natural History Museum

Dino Snores at the Natural History Museum
Date: Saturday 9 September 2017

Ages: 7-11 (+ one adult carer per family).

For the first time, we’ve inviting families with deaf children to a sleepover at the Natural History Museum. You’ll be able to explore the museum after dark, spot  dinosaurs in the shadows, take part in fun-packed educational activities and then sleep in one of the galleries. In the morning, you’ll be served breakfast and enjoy a live animal show before departing.

Dino Snores normally costs £60 per person, but NLDCS is offering subsidised tickets to members at just £30 each for deaf children and their siblings. There’s only space for one adult carer per family (aged 18+) who will go free.

To secure your place, please contact Suki Gill northlondon@ndcsgroup.org.uk

You will need to pay in advance, and also complete and sign a parental consent form provided by the museum. The cut-off date for applications is Friday June 23, and we will not accept any latecomers.

Please note that sleeping spaces are shared – there are no private rooms – and that non-NLDCS families will be taking part as well. No children under 7 will be admitted.

Party and NLDCS Annual General Meeting

Saturday, 11th March 2017 at 2:30pm5pm

Location: Martin Primary School, Plane Tree Walk, East Finchley, London N2 9JP

(Please use the second entrance as we are in a different hall)

In a break from tradition, we’re holding our AGM during the party to enable as many members as possible to find out more about NLDCS, share ideas and even join the committee while your children are being entertained.

We’ve booked the multi-sports entertainer who was a huge hit at the mini-Olympics party last year, and afterwards everyone will tuck into a tasty party tea.

As usual, to keep our costs down, we’re asking you to bring something to eat or drink – preferably finger food that doesn’t need heating up and can be eaten without cutlery. Please mark what it is, and whether it contains nuts/meat or is suitable for vegetarians.

Please book in advance and let us know how many people are coming, and what you’ll be bringing.

To book your places, contact Donna Tuffs by 4 March  northlondon@ndcsgroup.org.uk
