We’re offering your children the chance to enjoy some Olympic action in cycling sessions at the VeloPark. We’ve arranged 3 sessions for different age groups and abilities:
VeloBalance 2-5 yrs (non-riders) 11.30 – 12.30
Pedal up 6 – 10 yrs must be able to ride a bike 12.30 – 1.30
Mountain biking 10 yrs+ must be confident riders 11.45 – 12.45
Cycling slots lots last an hour, and children and families are also invited on a tour of the venue, including the iconic Velodrome. Tours start at 11.30 and 12.30, so you can do this either before or after the cycling. We’ll send further details closer to the date, but anticipate that everyone will meet at about 11.00 am.
VeloPark has very kindly agreed to fund the cost of the cycling and tours for NLDCS members and we expect places to fill up fast. Deaf children will be given priority, but we’ll try to accommodate hearing siblings. Communication support (funded by an NDCS local groups grant) will be available on the day, please make sure you tell us if your child/ren require signed support. We’re asking for £10 deposit per child, which will be refunded on the day. Make sure you turn up to get your deposit back!
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis to members so email northlondon@ndcsgroup.org.uk to find out how. Deadline for booking this event is 18th June.
