British Library Family Festival: Imaginary Worlds

Date: Saturday 22 November 2025
Time: 12pm – 4pm
Venue: British Library
Age: 2-9 years
Cost: Free

An immersive, hands-on experience for children and their families to explore imaginary worlds. With craft tables, learning activities and storytelling from a large  all fully accessible.

We’ll be there with our activity inspired by the book Harriet Versus the Galaxy, by writer Samantha Baines and illustrator, Jessica Flores. The children can explore rockets, space, and the wonders of communication through the unique lens of Harriet’s hearing aids. Using materials, children can design and build their own rockets, and create “alien communication devices” inspired by hearing aid technology, encouraging them to think about how we listen, hear, and connect across worlds.
