Date: Saturday 22 November 2025 Time: 12pm – 4pm Venue: British Library Age: 2-9 years Cost: Free
An immersive, hands-on experience for children and their families to explore imaginary worlds. With craft tables, learning activities and storytelling from a large all fully accessible.
We’ll be there with our activity inspired by the book Harriet Versus the Galaxy, by writer Samantha Baines and illustrator, Jessica Flores. The children can explore rockets, space, and the wonders of communication through the unique lens of Harriet’s hearing aids. Using materials, children can design and build their own rockets, and create “alien communication devices” inspired by hearing aid technology, encouraging them to think about how we listen, hear, and connect across worlds.
Join us for autumnal fun and games at our next event. It’s a great opportunity to meet other local families, make new friends and catch up with old ones.
There will be fun for all with crafts, and games, a fabulous tombola and our legendary fundraising raffle.
As usual, to keep our costs down, we’re asking you to bring some sharing food to eat or drink – preferably finger food that doesn’t need heating up and can be eaten without cutlery. Please mark what it is, and whether it contains meat or is suitable for vegetarians. Nut free please!
Please let us know how many people are coming, and what you’ll be bringing. To book your places, please fill out this form.
